Education: Jeffrey Allen earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from Utah State University, completing his master's in 2011. He then pursued his Ph.D. at Florida State University, graduating in 2019.

Certifications: Jeffrey holds certifications in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a trauma-focused therapy. He has extensive experience in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and also holds a certification in equine therapy.

Why he became a therapist: Jeffrey pursued therapy after experiencing a difficult time in college and working with a therapist who profoundly impacted his life. This led him to shift his focus from pre-dental studies to mental health, aiming to positively impact others in the way his therapist did for him.

He combines family systems work, which emphasizes a holistic view of clients, with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. His approach is also influenced by Eastern philosophy, and he primarily works with individuals on trauma, while occasionally seeing couples and families.

Favorite Self-Help Book: His favorite self-help book is "Act on Life, Not on Anger," which he believes is valuable even for those who don't see themselves as struggling with anger.

Second Favorite Hobby: Jeffrey enjoys playing Splash, a game played on a pool table without sticks.

Greatest Fear: His greatest fear is not being enough.

Best Movie/TV Show: The best movie Jeffrey has seen recently is "Guardians of the Galaxy 3." He also enjoyed the animated "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie, which brought back childhood memories. His favorite movie overall is "Jewels," which he discovered and enjoyed in theaters.

Favorite Book: His favorite novel is "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," which he finds both excellent and humorous.

Coolest Place he has traveled: The coolest place Jeffrey has visited is the Wind River Range in Wyoming, where he hiked 60 miles and felt like he was in another world.
