One should discuss any persisting issues with a doctor; however, wouldn’t it be nice to discover supplemental forms of care for your back pain? Many of the problems our bodies suffer can be managed through a carefully approached yoga practice led by a professional instructor (like me!).

I’ve dealt with pain in my sacrum, which leads to pain in my lower back and glutes. As soon as I discovered how to properly perform certain yoga poses, to fit my body’s construction, I had tools to use anytime the pain made its grand appearance.

Even better, I now understand how my body is built, what makes my body’s structure unique, and what makes it susceptible to problems.

So here is the key: yoga helps you understand your spine’s unique shape, mobility, weaknesses, tendencies, etc. That knowledge provides an ability to move your body in a way that cares for its specifications.

There are approaches to poses that can lengthen and open the back body.

There are approaches to poses that can strengthen the back.

There are approaches to poses that can strengthen the core, which will protect the back body.

There are approaches to the poses that can explore the current mobility of the spine.

There are approaches to poses that can increase mobility of the spine.
